When I started scrapbooking?

I started scrapbooking around 2001. A friend of mine was a consultant as Creative Memories. I got really interested since I always dated my pictures and write comments. Then I thought it is great to add stickers and use 12x12 albums with cool 12x12 papers with all kinds of occasions.

I started scrapbooking in 2002 after my wedding. I had no idea about the things available for the hobby. I used cards that I'd received and pictures and one small kit I found at Walmart. My husband wishes that I'd never found out about all the things that are available as I spend most of my fun money (and some of his) on this wonderful hobby.

My hubby loves the finished product and sometimes even suggests things for my layouts (he's very creative). He honestly isn't really cheap, but he thinks that I have tons of things that I have yet to use.

Scrapbooking is putting your pictures together on 12x12 paper with different backgrounds with many different occasions like Christmas, Easter, birthday, winter, swimming and lots to name. You can cut out colour papers to mount your pictures on them. I put stickers on as well with different occasions.

I started scrap booking after the birth of my 1st son and have done it every since. I find it to be relaxing and something I can enjoy no matter what. I was wondering with you just start to scrapbook has it benefited you to be a consultant? Are you more of a customer to yourself, you know getting the discount on the supplies or are you a full time consultant and actually run a business?

Its my hobby. Friend of mine was a consultant. I just love doing scrapbooking. I am bad for taking pictures. I make some of my pictures in collages and print them in different sizes. I finished redoing my pictures where I had in the magnetic pages last summer with 15 years worth of pictures. Boy it sure cut my staorage space in half. I enjoyed redoing it. As I was redoing it, it brought back memories. I have 2 teenage daughters (15 & 17)would go through the pictures from time to time since I redid them.

I just started scrapbooking and have found it to be a lot of fun! I don't have volumes and volumes of pictures but I have been able to fill 3 albums so far! But, what is happening now is that I am always looking to take more pictures and how I am going to scrapbook it! LOL!

Hey that's a start. I have tons right now I am going to do my family tree. I already done about my family (4 of us) in one album. Then the next generation would be my husband's and mine sibling with their children which I already done. My next generation which I will do is my husband's and mine parents as my husband and I were kids with our siblings. Then the next would be my and my husband's grandparents with their kids (our parents) with their siblings. And so on.

My MIL bought me supplies as a Christmas gift around that time, lol. I can't get into it. I don't have the time but also not the patience. My family has never been big on taking photographs. My husband does all that but since it's digital it's all on the computer and various discs somewhere. I guess we'll eventually get around to properly display everything;)

Yeah that's true. I even had one of my family members saying they don't have to time and always asked me where do you get the time? I would answer to them oh I do find the time. They know I enjoy doing scrapbooking and they even say I do a good job where they enjoy looking at my pictures.
