Rep. Dennis Kuncinich introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush. They are expecting to have a vote on the issue today. Here is a clip from MSNBC about it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_EbzncOPuU&eurl=http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=articles+of+impeachment&hl=en&sitesearch=.
What do you all think? Will Bush be impeached?
I don't think he will be impeached.

I couldn't watch you tube video;because it is you tube is banned in my country (Turkey). But I don't like Mr.Bush because of his war dependence (especially in Middle East) politics.I can't see any humanity in his politics for the poor countries. So that I hope he loses the elections.

He isn't up for re election but I TOTALLY agree with you when you mention his war dependent politics. I would hate to be on the receiving end of his policies. Stay safe.

I think we need to look at what can be done with Bush and Gang after he leaves the White House. I think making him stand trial for war crimes in the Hague would be a good start.

If we Americans were not smart enough to impeach him by now, he will not be impeach by the time the next president is elected.

Let me add that I would have impeached Bush the minute that the Iraq War started.

They should, but most likely is not going to happen.
My biggest fear is that Bush wants to attack Iran.
They know about and I think it is about time to stop this man.
Also, war in Iraq is total nonsense...

Yes but not this time.. His period is almost over..
He should have impeached before because of his activity to Iraq and Afgan.. Not only some poor people But also he killed some poor soldiers..
WTC event was also against his approach to Middle east countries..

It will never happen, as warranted as it may be, this will never come to pass. It is vitally important that at least it is being talked about amongst governing officials and at least for historical standpoints it will be documented that this guy was a criminal, much like our impressions of Richard Nixon. These issues should have been brought up YEARS AGO!!!! It is a shame so many lives were lost before these things were put on the table...

It all depends on how organised the House is and what the political climate is like. If you look back to the days of the Clinton Administration, you had lots of drama because Ken Starr was really dedicated to his job, despite politicl opinions and he really dug deep. You also had a situation where the House Republicans were quite organised in brining fourth the articles of Impeachment against Clinton and the House Republicans had enough discipline to ensure they voted along party lines to Impeach Clinton.
Is Bush likely to be Impeached? I don't think so, even though the case to Impeach Bush is allot more justified. Impeachment is a political process as much as it is a legal one and one has to look at the politics and organisation behind the politics. Yes, the Democrates hate Bush as much as the Republicans hated Clinton. However, the House Democrates are not as organised as the Republicans used to be.
Then of course there's the political objective we have to look at. In 1998, Clinton still had 2-years to run in his Presidency and removing a President would have helped the Republican cause (which it did not eventually). BUsh is 2008 has a few more months in office and Impeaching him would be politically expensive and not to mention pointless.

Is funny how all this comes up when elections draw near. People have to dig up dirt and try to darkin the the other party. Is the one thing I hate about election time. Didn't they try to impeach Clintion when he was in office? I personally an tired of all the crap. Will I vote? Yes!

good day.. Like all impeachment proceedings it's all about the numbers so if Bush
has them no matter how concrete or how much substance the article of impeachment has it will be thrown in the bin. Sad to say but our country has the same problem. Money talks and the guilty walks.

I doubt it will happen and it would be pointless to do by now. His run as president is almost done all the damage is already done. Impeaching him now would really solve nothing at all. He will get away with every single crime he has committed in office sadly and i doubt we'll impeach him even in his last days.

I think that, even if people try, his final year is almost over, so the United States just has to stick through that and it will be over. I am sure the impeachment process would take more energy than it is worth. I think the U.S. will just wait it out and get a new president at the beginning of 2009.
