Where do you prefer to swim?

Do you have a preference where you swim? Or does it not matter? Would you rather swim in the ocean, lake, creek, swimming pool?
I would MUCH rather swim in a swimming pool, simply because I can see the bottom.
I have a fear of not being able to see the bottom of the lake or ocean, not knowing what is down there. Its kind of a weird fear but it has always bothered me.

You are not alone on this one. I prefer to swim in a swimming pool. As I can see the bottom as well. I am scared of lakes, beaches, oceans, creeks all as such. The water looks nasty and I have no clue as to what all is in the water. The surface is just eerie. If you take a chance, let it be the swimming pool. I do too, feel safer in a swimming pool than others.

I like to swim in all different places for a variety, but most of the time, I end up going to a swimming pool. I think I prefer a swimming pool for most of the time, but then I really like going to a lake every now and then just for something different, and I think it's really pretty to have the beach there for scenery. I kind of have the same problem as you though with the lake and ocean. I get sort of scared that there will be something in the water that I can't see and I'll step on something gross or get hurt somehow. I know that stuff probably won't happen, but it still makes me nervous!
