My daughter is 16 months old and she is in constant motion. She has been since birth. Literally! The doctor almost dropped her because she was wiggling as soon as she came out. 16 months later she is still going. She is climbing on everything, getting into everything, and generally not sitting still. How do I get her to sit still?

Ha...Lilybug...16 month olds are not supposed to sit still! LOL... its just what they do. I'd rather my guys be active and running around than sitting in front of the television! When my youngest was at that developmental stage (he's delayed, so he was about 2 1/2- 3 when he was developmentally around 16 months old), and if I needed him to sit still for a few minutes, I would put his building blocks on the floor to have him play, or put him in his high chair and give him some spoons and a bowl to "help" me cook with if I was in the kitchen... Good luck!

I believe that is just her age. Maybe try getting her one of those aqua doodles. My son loves his! or get her something that will keep her busy. does she have any baby dolls with strollers or a little doll house. maybe see if she will sit down and play with dolls in her doll house. my little girl is almost 3 months old so im not to girl smart yet but i am definately pretty good with little boys i have a 7 year old and a 2 year old so pretty much know what works and dont work with them. did that help any?
