We've had movies around since the 1920s and there have been many that have made us laugh, cry, get angry, etc. But why do we react like this and what makes one movie better than the other? What gets you to see a movie, is it story, action, or something else?

Yeah I know movies have been around for a long long time, and in my opinion a good movie depends on how well the storyline is,how much action or comedy is in it,and which actors or actresses are in the movie, because if the movie has a popular actor or actress in it,then it will at least be a little good.

i think the special effects should be great!! and the actors must be perfect with the roles they play in the movie.

A good movie, to me, is one that I can relate to or has characters and struggles that I can understand, yet find an escape from my own world at the same time. A good movie should have at least some humor. If I can't laugh, then it's not worth my time. Movies need to be exciting and spark the imagination. When I leave a movie theater and find myself thinking and talking about the picture for weeks afterward, and laughing at the jokes and devising stories either to put myself in continuing where the picture left off.

In my opinion, whoever the actors and actresses are in the movies is what makes it good or not. My proof of this is I am Legend. This movie couldn't have been good with any other actor other then Will Smith. Without him the movie would have been nothing. So when i see previews of a movie with actors that i have never heard of, i don't usually get too excited about it, but when i see that there is a new movie coming out with Will Smith or Denzel Washington or any other outstanding actors, then i get excited!
