I goofed again. Today I woke up and realized the weather looks cool but my daughter insisted on her skirt and her dad said it was ok last night. So I figure ok, she earned a free dress day at school. So this morning, when I took her out of the car, I thought the sun is not going to come out today. I did not apply sunblock. But I did send her to school with a sweater.
I went out for lunch and the sun was scorching hot.
My little girl is going to get sun burn. I should have applied sunscreen, I thought about it but ignored it because I thought it be a cloudy day just like yesterday.
I hate weather that is unpredictable. one day cold the next day hot.

The good parents are the ones who admit they make mistakes. Just missing the sun block can tear up a mother's heart.
We're so responsible for everything that happens to our children. And we feel so guilty for messing up.
But, the kids come out okay in the end, as long their parents don't freak because they're not perfect parents.
You started this discussion yesterday, so hopefully your daughter is fine and didn't get burned.
I live in a state of unpredictable weather and I like it.
But, I'm sorry the weather turned on you and there wasn't anything you could do about it.

I have a 5 month old and I felt soooo bad for having to take him out without it, I was actually on my way to get it, but luckily he didn't get burned at all!!! thank goodness for that, but now that i have sunscreen I'm going to use it cloudy or sunny days.

I hate when the weather is unpredictable also. We have all done these same things. Is she outside all day or just for recess? I did the same thing as the beach. I forgot to put sunscreen on my daughter as she is the only one that burns and she did burn. Then on a cloudy day we didn't put sunscreen on anyone thinking that we would not need it and we all burned lol. Don't feel to bad we all make mistakes. If there is shade there she might seek relief from the heat under the shade.

Thanks for sharing your experience. The weather and the sun is so unpredictable. I heard the strongest UV rays are the ones that peep out of the clouds. They are the very harsh on the skin.
I am sorry to hear that your kids got burnt.
My daughter is only out for recess, but she is not likely to seek shade because she lacks social skills. She would rather stand some where in the sun alone if other kids are already in the shade.
She tend not to follow the crowd.

Yes it is really hot since the month of June. I am sorry that you were unable to put on the sunblock. Maybe if the teacher have on her and she is burning bad she will give her some. It has been overcast since yesterday but I am sweating. It is really bad. Next time don't watch the weather.

Yep, well teacher won't put on any for her because teachers are not allowed to touch the kids in that sense.
they will get in trouble.
and most of the time the kids are out playing and the teacher are inside in the nice a/c room snacking or sometimes checking the kids work.
I wish i worked close by and I can run and do things like that.
