Counting Calories is still the fastest way to loose weighthowever going thru thru the process means a lot of things to give up!
Important Things To Remember!
1.The first 2 weeks is the hardest week! It is a week ok depression, anger and a lot more of these emotions mixed together.
2. I know I was eating more than 3000 calories a day.
3. I decided to just take in 1800 a day then gradually decrease it by 200 until I reached the goal of 1000 a day...
4. It sure was hard at the start but as I saw the result slowly being felt....I developed an encouragement rooted from within
5.I back it up with gym exercises and swimming!
6.I slowly developed a confident outlook inlife and has started campaigning my technique.
7.I sharpen the saw as regularly as possible.
You are using another technique please share it with us and make a difference in other peoples life.

I actually find that the beginning is the easiest as you are motivated to loose the weight, the problem comes when you are a couple of weeks or a few months in to the diet and you are seeing very few results and that is when it gets harder, when the motivation has gone. You should eat 2000 calories a day as that is the amount that your body needs, if you half it then when you start eating more again your body will store a lot of it as fat.

1000 calories a day is very low. What I have learned is that to maintain your weight, take in about 10-12 calories of body weight per day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, eating 1500- 1800 per day will maintain that weight. Reduce that by 200-300 calories per day to lose weight. Reducing your calorie intake too much can be dangerous, especially if you are adding exercise.
What helps me is keeping a food journal. Seeing on paper what I ate and how many calories each day helps me put into perspective how much I am eating, and makes me think twice before grabbing a snack.

I would not want to eat less than 1600 or 1800 calories a day. You could still lose weight if you kept it at that level. I could anyway, because I'm pretty heavy. i live near a lake so my current goal is to swim for an hour every day I swim. So far I've done ok with that.
