What do the stars mean near my username?

I've noticed that when i post i have a star. Before, i had a silver star with the number "7" on it. Now it has changed to a gold star and has a "8" on it. What does that mean?

When you achieved 100 posts, you received a star. The number in the star indicates your reputation. For example, my star with number 9, indicates my reputation is 94/100. Just move your mouse to the star,then you know your reputation.
