I know this is probably going to open a can of worms, but I have to ask. If you have read the Bible and have noticed any contradictions, what are they?
Which ones do you find the most bothersome.
If you are faithful to your religion, how do you overcome your questions about contadictions in the Bible?

Something went wrong when I post this, anyway, what i was saying is that :
When I found something to be contradictions, first I would make a cross check to some comments and commentaries given by Bible Theologians have to say, then study it carefully. I believe in my heart that these alleged error and contradictions doesnt necessarily exists if there might be. The Bible stood for so many scrutiny it went through yet it remain to convict the hearts of men and has changed lives.
So as the as song goes ... " I will stand my feet on its firm foundation for the Bible stands." Thanks for posting :D

I use to have a lot of questions about the Bible, but God has been faithful to explain most of them. Some things we will not know while here on earth. Even if God explained them to us, our minds still would not comprehend them. This is why we have faith in God.

Thanks for your response. I know from other discussions that you are deeply faithful and I respect that.
Right now, I think I have more questions than faith.
Could you give me an example of how "God has been faithful to explain" most of your questions?

Hello!
Your question about contradictions in the Bible is very important and interesting, and because I've learned and read the Bible since I'm a little child I think I can answer your question.
So, the Bible is the most beautiful and influential book that have ever written in the world. Most of the world's population go after what the bible say and belive in it.
Because of the importance of the bible, there are many researchers who try to find constradictions in the bible and in fact most of the times they find what they look for.
For example, you can see a very big "constradiction" in the bible in the issue of the world creation. I don't know if you know this but in the bible there are 2 different stories about how was the world created and how was the humanity started. If you look about each one of this stories separate you might think there is a contradiction but due to traditional approach there are no contradictions because these two stories complete each other.
To sum up, this all issue of contradictions in the bible depends on in which point of view you are looking. Traditional people can find you an explanation for every "cntradiction" you find.

First off I overcome by remembering that contrary to what we think the Bible was really written by MEN! Yes they claimed to have been given insight for there words by God, but they are still men! Even Jesus did not write any of the books of the Bible. So...I just keep in mind, tht the Bible was written by a bunch of inperfect men, and sinners. It was not writen by God. Yes God did have a hand in its words but the translation was writen down by inperfect sinfull men.
One thing i have always questioned about the words is the knowledge tht God was the total creator and not only that but in Genesis it states that he knew everything even before he started creating. Because of this he knew that the angle lucifer (who he creaed), would fall from grace and become the devil and that we (who he also created) would eat from the tree of knowledge and know of evil and experience evil. Sometimes that bothers me when i look at what evil does, it makes me wonder what kind of all loving God would allow that to come about and happen.

i haven't read the whole bible but have noticed some contradictions. I think one of the things i have wondered about the most and wanted to know is that if one of the commandments is "Thou Shalt Not Kill" how are all the religious wars justified? thousands were killed during the many different wars. Churches sent troops out to kill, so how is that justified?

Some years ago I was shown a Bible that change the words which also changed the meaning of what was said. It was one of the newer Bible. I don't remember what part it was.
