it's one thing to go to school but it's another to go and perform well. what motivates people other than obvious monetary compensation in the future? i guess what i'm asking is...what motivates you on a daily basis to get up in the morning and go to work (if ou work all day) and still go to school? what do you think about? ---reason i ask is because i cant think anything to motivate me anymore. the long run seems so long.

When I was a student, my mom played a great role in motivating me to get up o early and study at night even though I am so tired. She said that the only thing she can give to me that nobody that take away from me is "EDUCATION". She would always tell me that no one can help me but me since I don't have a father anymore and I don't have any siblings. I am a dreamer. So she would usually tell me, its only I who could grab make all those dream come true and no matter what happened, she'll always be by my side. These were all true. I took up a medical course and when I took the national exam I didn't pass...I tried and my mom was there to support me. After a few more tries, she said maybe you should try another one...and so I did. I am a teacher now. It is very far from my course but I guess teaching is what is meant for me. Now that I am working, my mom is still part of my motivation. Another motivations are my dreams and the gadgets that I want to buy. My mom can buy those for me but the feeling of being successfl and being able to help from my own strength and ability is really so cool. I am an only child and it really took a lot of patience from my mom and to myself to keep on going. I am single now an dthere is no boyfriend that will push me towards a certain dream. It is my "WILL POWER" to prove to myself and others that I can do what they say I can't. I always set a daily goal, a weekly goal, a monthly goal and a yearly goal. I feel so great whenever I am able to meet my goals. Why don't you try it. Take care =)

it's great to have a mom like that :) . My mother is also always behind me, with wathever i chose to do. As long as i'm doing something that will bring me somewhere she's there to support me.

what motivates me are the new classes i take. everything interesting and i want to learn more. Not necessarily do the work just learn. Also the monetary compensation is pretty good in the long run. College grads make on average double a high school grad.

when you wake up and do not feel like going to school, just think about the atmosphere of the school. you will a great difference between that of your work place and school. there you can be so calm, so relaxed and put your mind to learn something new. at work, there is the load of mundane activities punctuated by naggings from the boss or chief. you do not literally get time to breathe. well my friend, don't you think this type of exquisite atmosphere with friends as a bonus are enough motivation.

To me, the greatest satisfaction comes from my family when they express how proud they are of me and my success with school. I am the first in my family to go to college so they are all behind me one hundred percent and show great pride in the accomplishments that I have done. I would never want to let them down or disappoint them in any way.
