So who do you think should have won, which David were you voting for?I was voting for the 17 year old, although I really think they were equally good.
I also wonder if anyone feels this competition is rigged in some way?Did anyone see it the night Paula Abdul made a big mistake? She judged the man Jason on both his songs of the night BEFORE he sang his second song.It kinda makes you wonder. It sure made me stop and think, they made light of it,and went on rather quickly but how is it that she made such a mistake? It wasn't as if she judged him and gave the wrong name of the song or something, she outright judged him on a song he wasn't supposed to have sung yet.
My daughter records it while I am at work and then we get together on the weekend and watch it together its a lot of fun.But I won't be thinking it is much fun if I start to thinking it is rigged,it will take the excitement out of it for me.

I was actually voting for little David Archuleta. Granted, I believe both Davids were really talented and don't deny the star factor and commercial appeal of David Cook. But something about him just turned me off. I always thought he was so arrogant and cocky. I'm sure he's a perfectly nice person, but I feel that he just emits an arrogant aura about him. That's just imo though, so no flaming please! :) My personal favorite of the season was Michael Johns - the Australian. I thought he was superb but I was perplexed by why the judges kept on giving him such poor criticism.
I did watch the Paula goof and it was mighty suspicious. Yah, she may have been on pain meds or something but that is a huge gaffe on a reality tv show that is supposedly unbiased. I don't know what to believe, honestly. If it's true, I would be sorely disappointed but not overly surprised. I feel a lot of these reality tv shows are influenced by the producers and I never felt it more than in this years AI. I didn't think Sayesha would have won anyways, but in the top 3 episode the show gave her such horrible songs to perform. This pretty much ensured it would be a David vs David finale, which is exactly what the producers were aiming for.

Thank you for the comment.I agree with you I liked syesha the most when she did the Broadway night.I found after that her voice was still good her attitude changed and she suddenly seemed to full of herself .I do think we will see her on Broadway though.I don't doubt they wanted it down to the two Davids either.
They have a new country reality show out now similar to American Idol but on the 1st night they lost me .I didn't care for the judges and I didn't agree with them.
I did like American Idol gives back.I thought that was a really good thing to do.Its a great way to raise money for some very important causes.

I must be the only person who has never seen this show. LOL. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that it is partly rigged.

Hi Jasmine... well I wanted David Cook to win but I really didn't think he was going to especically after he sang the last time and Simon ripped him. I thought Simon's opinion would sway some of the voters who were on the fence. For me, I just like the sound of David Cook's voice and loved alot of the arrangements he sang. His also displayed the maturity needed to handle the media aspect that goes along with winning American Idol. He is relaxed and articulate when being interviewed and the younger David struggles alot with it maybe because of his age. I know at 17 I would not have interviewed very well on tv either. It was a great competition and I'm sure they will both have great singing careers.
