The Bridges of Madison County. I read the book when if first came out, and when the movie came out, I was a bit surprised at the casting of Meryl, but she did a good job. I really enjoyed the movie as well as the book.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single movie starring Meryl streep, but I just had to butt in because to wanted to say what a great book I think The Bridges of Madison County is. I rarely enjoy romance type books, but this one was just brilliant.

yeah, i like The Devil Wears Prada as well. I like Meryl Streep and I was surprised when I watched the movie, Mama Mia.. it was very different from the roles I was accustomed to seeing her. hehe

Yeah, actually, the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" makes me want to read the book. I have seen a copy of it in National Bookstore in Ever Gotesco Grand Central but I chose to buy another book instead of it and now, I think I shouldn't have.

I don't know many Meryl Streep movies but the best on my list would probably be Mama Mia - I actually expected her to win an award because of her performance in that movie. I guess since everybody expected her to deliver a good performance, people started expecting even more from her :P

Thank you very much for your response. Yeah, she was really effective in her role in that movie. I also saw a teaser of Mama Mia, an old movie of hers, I think and it looks really good. I will rent it next time.
