hi friends!i really think some doctors are money minded if you go to some doctor saying i have a cold or a pain, they will take a x-ray,blood test, urine test and many other things and when the results come we find that we had no big problem just a little fever thats all!and we have to pay so much for it .some doctors even take a kidney away while doing a surgery.what can be more emotionless than that!
i also think that some doctors are emotionless.an incident had happened to my dog which i would like to share with you .
i had a dog who was 11 years old and had a case of liver enlargement i called the best doctor in the town ,he said he had a case of liver enlargement and not live more than 2 days .then he opened his bag and pierced 11 injections to my dog saying that it might work, he gave me a bill of 5000.
i found that my dog was not able to even stand after that injection.i called the doctor the next day and told him about the problem.do you know what he said
"throw some acid on him he will die more quickly"
how could he talk like that .who in the hell made him a doctor .i was only one left to save my dog.i took care of him i made him eat ,massaged him also gave my blanket so that who will not feel cold, but the next day i saw the truth."he was dead"
what do you think?

Yes, i agree with you. Doctors of all sorts are like that. Recently i went to the dentist to have a tooth pulled. And the remaining teeth polished. First of all i wanna say i go to a clinic, because of limited income. I'm told to pay $20. per visit. They had me go a coule times just to take x-rays. Then some cleaning about 2-3 times. They perscribed some mouth wash that cost $12. a bottle. Throught the clinic, God knows what it would have cost outside of there. I noticed my teeth getting yellower. So i read the label more. It said "may cause permiment or tempory discoloration and lines on teeth". I already had lines at the point too. So i threw away all remaining in that bottle and the next full one. Finally, after a couple months they pull the bad tooth and are talking about removing a couple more. I'm thinking no way man they don't even hurt or have cavities. I hope many years pass before i need dentures. I have a most of my own teeth and wish to keep it that way as long as possible. I have since stopped going since they want to practice pulling teeth on me and my bad tooth now out. They have even sent me a couple bills for $20. each. Why? Cause they said $20. per visit and i paif each time. Thank God the yellow discoloration from the mouth wash was tempory. But i still have the coffee-tea stains, which i wanted polished off.

That is really sad!!! How can some doctors be so unfeeling??? I went to the doctor the other day since I was new in town and was overdue for an annual cancer recheck. Every question the doctor asked was snapped at me and it had me so nervous my brother had to answer most of the questions (he had come into the room to keep me company and talk to me until the doctor came in). My brother finally left the room because his kids were being too noisy. The doctor had the nerve to tell him to leave the kids at home next time he came (the kids are 3 and 9). When they scheduled me for the follow up to get the test results, I told them to give me a different doctor. Not quite the same thing, but it is what I experienced. Sorry about your loss.

I believe there are such doctors around. There are some who would not even touch or examine you when you tell them a body part is aching, and would just send you off with some pain killers or whatever. Or those who would order a series of unnecessary and irrelevant tests for you, and in the end still could not diagnose what is wrong with you. But having said that, I have come across nice and genuine doctors who really have the heart to help patients. I know of some doctors who does not charge their patients knowing that the patient is poor but really need medical consultation.

in this society it is true that some doctors have become money-minded. i often read the stories that some patients are badly treated in hospital firstly. but after giveing doctors extra tip, their attitude changed at once.
so, i think the society must pay more attention to the education for doctors, not only in skills but also in characters.

Yes i agree that Doctor have become money minded. But you just cannot blame a Doctor. You might be surprised to hear that it costs you Rs 10 lakhs on an average to be a MBBS Doctor. I know this because I am one. Spending so much and doing social service makes no sense.

I do agree that some doctors are in the business for the money and not for love of the job. I think that there are many more who truly love what they do and I feel sad that your vet was so cold and I do think that he is one of few. I think these few often give the others a bad name. I will say that most of the doctors that I have seen have been caring and very few have seemed to be into medicine just to make some good money. I have had some with poor bedside manner who didn't seem very personable but they did their job of treating me the way they should have...not sure that I should complain about that though.

Hi jijomathew, I expect some doctors enter the profession just for money, and that is very sad. Medicine is a field where we need caring and competent individuals. I am sure there are some still doctors who are there for all the right reasons just as there are in other fields. Lets hope that things improve. Blessings.

I find that a lot of doctors today are only in it for the money. It's just a job to them. I have gone to an ear specialist for the last 2 years and just because he can't find what is wrong with me, can't put a name to it, or cure it, but knows there is a physical problem, he tells me to just learn to live with it. Like, what is that? He knows I have attacks, he has witnessed them several times and sees how my blood pressure goes sky high and I have gotten so sick I thorw up. He has seen it and says I have to learn to live with it. I am now waiting to see another specialist because there is a problem so there has to be something that can be done to fix it.
Anyways, I went a little bit off the subject there, sorry, but my point is I agree with you, that some doctors are only in it for the money, no compassion for their patients anymore.

Doctors are professionals who work for their living. They have needs that must be paid like education of their chioldren, etc. They are compasionnate. They may look serious because it is lives that they are dealing about every day .They know what they are doing-checking the books, journals, internet on what is best for the patient

lots of doctors are sick, whether for human or animals...that is why most people ask friends for recommendations because they dont want to have the same doctors you went to. there are lots of doctors like that out there, and it has been like that since the 60s and 70s, so this isnt new...
that is why they tell people to be careful when u go to a doctor...or u can report them to a medical association so others wont suffer as well...

I think doctors see so many people, it becomes routine for them. Sometimes to them, I think it seems like an assembly line in a factory.

That can be true sometimes but it rarely happens here in my country.Maybe the most controversial case is medical malpractice.hey! My dad is a good doctor(pediatrician).Even if his patients already grew up,they would still bring their kids to them and his patients' kids call him lolo(grandpa)Rey.

I don't think so. Just because of few, cant blame on the whole doctors community. I sorry for your dog as you found a bad doctor for hospitalizing it. Doctor profession is a much risky of all as they deal with life. Hence they are trained to give best service as they can. But there will be a few percentage of money minting persons in each and every profession, Cant do much about it.
At least make awareness about that idiotic doctor with your friends circle so that they wont call him again. By doing this you are at least helping other in not falling to the same pit again.

well, you see i think i agree with you taht some of the doctors around today and in fact almost everyone existing on planet earth today have gone from being human conscious to being money conscious and its now the highest bidder takes the trophy its unfortunate that you lost your dog but i think the first doctor told you the truth only you didnt see it thyen but where he went wrong was charging you for those injections which i believe he knew will not help

Hi jijomathew! Am actually feeling so bad for you, i can understand how attached you would be to your pet and due to mere negligence of the doctor you had to lose him. Am soo sorry!
Its very true here in india in case the of human beings as well. Even in community hospitals doctors have to be paid for treating the patients. Or else they don't dare care for the life of human beings.
And these doctors don't hesitate to do operations even when there would be no indication of doing one?
How could we help anyone , when such highly educated and qualified people only are doing that crime what should the innocent lot do?
The best solution is to eradicate illiteracy.

That is a very heartless doctor indeed! You should report him to your country's medical ethics authorities or something. I am so very sorry about your dog. May the pet owners in your neighborhood be warned about this doctor.
