Lock Your PC on just a mouse click!!

Hi friends, I will share an informationabout how to lock your pc on clicking a button in microsoft windows os. 1.Right click on deltop selct new then shortcut 2)Enter "%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LOCKWorkStation and click Next button 3)Enetr "Lock PC" the name of the shortcut 4)click finish 5)Just click on Lock PC hortcut 6) Your PC is locked. Done!! 7)To unlock press "Alt+cntrl+Del" together. Please post your comment if you find it usefull!!

I had tried this on windows xp home edition and I am getting error message as "Error in user32.dll" "Missing entry: LOCKWorkStation"

Hi ankill, please try it is working i have tested just now. please enter the following %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LOCKWorkStation into location entry in create shortcut it will work. if still you find problem pl contact me.

what does locking your computer mean anyway? I've never heard of it before in my life. what does it mean anyway???

a very good tip, thanks, im using a shared pc though so i cant lock this one, its not all mine, this is useful, im not that knowledgeable with computer functions

If you use the windows xp system, the other way is that you can push the windows key and L key on the keyboard at the same time! you will see your PC would be locked !

Very good tip. I didn't know you could make a shortcut to do that. I have no need to do it but i'm sure there will be people here that will find that very useful.
