I have always loved eating ramen noodles, the little packs you get...the brand is Nissin, but to find out that they contain MSG, which is not good for you. But anyways, I like making my own ramen noodles. If any of you know a good recipe for making the broth, it would be much appreciated. P.S. For any of you who want to know what MSG stands for it is Mono Sodium Glutamate and is the seasoning packets.

I don't know how to make your own...I was going to suggest using chicken boullion but that has MSG in it too! Maybe you could find an organic chicken boullion without msg in it. But it probably wouldn't taste as good. We eat Ramen noodles occasionally. The msg doesn't bother me if I don't have too much. Of course the whole purpose of msg is to make you crave more food!

I looove my MSG! I definitely understand why you might not want to eat it, however, and I, personally, don't like the little flavor packs that come with ramen. What I usually do is add a cube of vegetarian bouillon (the brand I get doesn't have MSG) to the liquid, chili sauce (the Vietnamese stuff with the green top), and sliced green onions. It's way tastier than the packets. My SIL adds powdered soup mixes to hers.
