Have you ever Co owned or Co bought something with a friend?

Well I have and everyone told me not to do it, and now I see what they were saying. One day my friend decides to buy a brand new Harley Davidson. He goes in to buy the new bike only to realize he doesn't have any credit as he was only 18 years old at the time. I was also 18 but I had already established my credit. He had a good paying job and all that as well at the time. Well he joined the Navy last year and he seemed to not be very responsible with his money and over withdrew from his bank account a few times and since I am considered the owner of the bike Harley would call me and ask for payments REALLY EARLY in the morning. Have any of you made this mistake as well?
