I put it this way. You can forgive, but it is hard to forget. When my exhusband cheated on me, his mother said it was nothing. I said, "I was bit by a German Shepard when I was 10, I have forgotten about the bite, but the scar is there and is a constant reminder".

it depends on what that thing is.. i mean my friends yeah sure.. but like wat our downstairs neighbors did to my family and i.. i will never ever forgive them as long as i live because wat they did is not to be forgotten.. but i defenately learned not to be nice to everyone i meet.. (be nice but have precausions bcause there r soo many things u dono about the person ..)

The Lord tells us to be meek as doves but also wise as serpents. To me, that means when I forgive, i do not also need to return to the same fololishness that got me hurt in the first place. Make sense?

People say to forgive is to forget... however, I might forgive, but hard to forget, especially if betrayed by someone I really trust. I can forgive them, but I'll find it difficult to believe on them again

It depends who did it, and what they did. I have been hurt a lot, and i try hard to let it go though. Life is too short to hold on to it. We need to move on.
