When i read the last few chapters of 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' i wept when dumbledoor died, i sobbed when harry was feeding him the potion and he was screaming kill me. I feel everything Harry feels, it is so sad. I am not looking forwards to the film, if the book was sad how sad is the film going to be TT_TT

I actually was angry when I read that chapter, angry at Snape. I felt what Harry felt: emptiness. He lost his greatest teacher and he felt vulnerable. I did break my heart. I couldn't really believe it and I thought it must have been a joke. And no, he never resurrected. Dumbledore is not a horcrux maniac unlike Voldemort.

Sorry for the typo. It should have been "It did break my heart."

It sounds like pretty dark stuff. I'm not a Harry fan but have enjoyed the films so far. I like the dumbledoor character but I dont think a storyline like this would have me sobbing. The books that have really affected me have been some of the true stories, or books inspired by real life. I think the first book that did get me to have tears was one my a writter called Sven Hassle. he writes war books from the German perspective and I'd gotten to know his characters really well. Some of their life experiences are very sad. I'm not sure if those books were based on experience or true stories or if they are just works of fiction. The true life book "Theres always enough" by Heidi Bakker was the last one to really affect me at a deep level. Maybe the film will be a bit different.

I don't like real life stories because i find them boring when you might not, Harry POtter is the best book ever written and nothing can chnage that soooo.......everybody thinks of things differently and because i know you so well yo're going to miss saying Dumbledoor when i read it.

I would say that it is only a book and although it felt sad, it was a very interesting twist to the story. As for the film, I dont acutally like the new Dumbledoor because he doesnt sound as loving and warm as the previous one. In fact, he sound rather rough for a caring headmaster loved by everyone. I wouldnt be too sad if he is gone

I did. I'm not even going to fake it. Like yourself once I'm in the book, I'm in the book. I'm in my own little world and nothing matters, but what I'm reading. I had to read it over and over just to make sure I read it right. I want to see the movie when it comes out, but I'm kinda dont! I'm going to be in the theater crying my eyes out then a 10 year old going to tell me to hush, it's only a movie!! When The Deathly Hallows comes out on film, I don't know what I'm going to do. I was crying through the whole book! I loved Fred's charater, I still can't believe he is gone. I know I'm going to do alot of crying in that movie! I'm just a big old cry baby! (:
