how did your significant other propose to you, or for those that aren't engaged, how would you like to propose to someone/be proposed to? for me it would have to be somewhere romantic, and up high (i have no idea why) but somewhere like the top of the eiffel tower or the leaning tower of Pisa

My fiance never so much proposed to me, as we just decided that we were going to get married eventually. We moved in together after only a couple of months of dating, because we both knew we would be perfectly happy with the other for the rest of our lives. We only started telling people we were engaged when we moved, because somehow saying "my fiance" sounds like more of a firm relationship than saying "my boyfriend." We say we act like we're married already. :)

That was a lot like how it was when me and my husband decided to get married. We lived together for a year before we did. After we were married, I didn't even have rings until our one year anniversary, but I didn't really care. We already felt like we had been married for longer than we had.

My husband didn't really propose to me. Marriage was just a mutual decision for us. We both wanted it and we knew it and that was it. :) Not hopelessly romantic, but I probably would have laughed anyway if he tried to do this big romantic proposal. I hate being romantically cheesy...even though I'm a girl.
