Do you like your job?

I am a volunteer coordinator for a non-profit. I love my job. I am surrounded by people that are only there because they truly want to be! Not to mention the sweetest most generous people. And together, we all do something good for other people, animals, the world!

I work in a resort looking after human resources. Recruitment, training, retention, employee problems, etc. I work in an island, not a great pay in comparison to other industries but I feel like on holiday all the time. Not because I dont work but because its a holiday destination, even at work it feels like a holiday. People pay a lot of money to come to the place where I am and I am staying here and I get paid. My ordinary day is dining at the restaurants trying out the new cuisine of our chefs, getting a massage from the new therapist that is still on training and I have to evaluate the skills if they are ready to service the guest. Every off day I spend time on the beach, snorkeling or just swimming. I have to lay down on the white beach and under the sun because I have limited choice but the beach and the spa....? what more could I ask for! I travel on a speedboat like commuting on a taxi in an ordinary day. yes I love my job!

I did like my job however things are not so simple with it these days. I am a Team assistant in a big insurance company, and whilst I have only been in this role for just over a year I have been with the company for 6 years. Last October I went on maternity leave and in 2 weeks I am due to return to work however I discovered yesterday that they may not have me back within the role that I was doing because they do not like the hours I am wanting to do. I loved my job however I now have two children and cant do anything about the hours I need to do and feel I am being treated unfair but what can I do.....NOTHING. What the point in finding a job you like you still end up being shafted
