Do you think children under 10 should be given homework by their school? The school I went to - a very good one - did not issue homework until my final year there.
My eldest is about to start this September and straight away she will have reading tasks to do. Of course I want her to do well, and we already have fun with books but surely, surely, they get enough work at school. What about fun, friends and family time? Surely half of what they learn in the world is by enjoying their surroundings? I'd be interested to know what you think.

I believe that homework is a fantastic way for children to be encouraged to support their learning by themselves, with suitable guidance from the parents. Homework should also be a fantastic way for children to investigate and explore topics they have studied at school during the day or week to a greater level. I believe that encouraging children to explore and learn by themselves with suitable encouragement and guidance, amount depending on ability and age of the child, then they should, in my opinion, perform better when they get to College or University.

I do see your point, just as long as that is what happens, and its not just endless spelling lists and times tables. And surely life for them should have a bit of choice in how and what they explore without being dictated to out of school as well as within at a young age? How do they find time for hobbies?

yes they should given up a homework,,
here in our country pre school students have there homework for the reason that
this student might aware also on studying at home and just playing all the time but us
parents we should watch over our child and guide and teach in their school home works or other
school stuffs. giving them the things they need to learn more on their studies.
