Are you doing a review. A good movie should has a message that comes across clearly. The actors should be able to convince the viewers about the character he/she is playing. To me good lines, characters and humor/action makes a good movie.

For me a good movie has to be one without a lot o drama. I don't want to get lost. I like one with a lot of dialogue so I can tell what is going on, and without too many sound effects in the background.

Good casting; charismatic performers; strong, gifted emotionally powerful actors; beautiful, moving or exciting music; an epic feel; good dialogue; sometimes, suspense; long film (I like my money's worth); good editing; ravishing photography; strong emotional pull; beautiful scenery; a strong start and unforgettable climax; a story that draws you in and won't let you go. Heavy on story and content and human interest, light on easy sensationalism...

The elements that contribute to a good movie are that they make you laughh, make you cry, and have characters that are believeable and human. It has to be well written and have no lame qualities. Doesn't even have to have major stars. Now this isn't a movie but the show 'Moonlight' was like this. It was well written and had all the elements but it was taken off. (Please go to savemoonlight and help with this)There not alot of good ones around. Either tv shows or movies.
