Which do you prefer, taking picures or taking videos?

Years ago, I have decided to purchase a video camera since I considered myself a 'video' person. At that time, I preferred to capture movable moments instead of just still pictures. Eventually, I realized that I'm more of a 'picture' person. I usually take pictures than capturing moments. The sad thing is, although my video camera is good for taking videos, it does not produce a good quality picture. For the meantime, I don't want to purchase a digicam. Anybody here who had the same experience? Or anyone who bought a digicam first and then realized they should have bought a video camera instead?

I have both, I prefer digital still photos. I started with a 3.1 M.P, then upgraded two years later to a Kodak 6.1. After a year with this want to up grade to a cannon or Nikon pro series 10 M.P or better. Can't afford now. photos I could deal with better than video. I need to get back and learn more with video. Need to learn how too convert VHS to DVD.

Do you edit your videos? Coz me I don't... that's why I had a DVD video camera. I'll just play it later. Wish I could have the drive to learn more with video as you.
