Does anyone know of some good ideas to use them for. I have heard of making bracelet's out of them but haven't had any unsuccessful looking ones yet.

there are places that will take them as donations. they get so much money for so many pounds which they can donate in order to get a wheel chair. i am not sure who or what organization does it, but some schools collect them and my nieces gymnastic club collects them as well.

Try www.aluminouspublishing.com/keeping-tabs.html. Do a search for pull tab art. or pull tab crafts and see what comes up.

Try attaching feathers and other soft fuzzy colourul things to them and tying string to them to make interesting decorations.

You could make them into a keyholder or keyfob, you could use the ideas in #1 above for decorating. You could use one or more for this idea, personally, I like using scrap leather to decorate key fobs. You can cut, paint, dye, carve and indent (a press design) leather. I really like the dress idea above, too. I would think a belt would work out very nicely.

Schools donate them to various charities and this person buys them from the charity and makes fabulous bracelets with the tabs. They are so pretty, it takes awhile before you actually realize what she made the bracelets with. She has a website at AnnMadeArt (of course you'll need to add a www to the front and a .com to the end...) She donates much of the proceeds back to charity and any tabs that can't be used for her creations get donated back again. Her bracelets are in several boutiques and it's admirable that she donates a nice % of the profits back to the charities.

What you should do is just to buy a torch from the hardware store, put all the tabs into a ceramic cup, and melt them down into a cool paperweight puck type of thing.
