Often we are our own worst enemy. We make mistakes, but struggle to admit them. In some cases we try to justify out bad actions and motives, only to have our our self deception heighten out mistakes. To grow and develop we need to develop the capacity for honesty and self evaluation. It is only when we can admit where we are going wrong that we can start to put things right. Once when I was very young, I broke a vase in the living room which my father loves best.I was afraid to admit my fault but finally found out by my parents. I felt guilty but they didn't blame me. They gave me a meaningful lesson and I learn a lot. At that time I made up my mind to be a brave and honest person! I think that sometimes we don't admit because of lack courage but not we are dishonest. What blocks is how we step out the first step! So what do you think about? Expect your opinion!

Well it depends for me if I was really at fault and if I had really hurt the person I admit my mistakes...But if I know that I'm on the right track and that person stepped on me well probably I don't...

Once upon a time I didn't dare to admit my mistake. But I felt guilty in my mind. So I couldn't sleep well, didn't want to eat, and felt uneasy! At last I can admit my mistake because I'm not a dishonest person.

For success in the society, one must admit the mistake/s honestly, orelse people will not admit that person in the society.

Thanks,samson1967. Not only for success in the society, I think it first is a basic principle for us to be a person.

I think in youth we are in the self evaluation thing. As we grow older and get to know ourselves and what we believe in we can stand tall in our convictions. Admitting to things is so much easier than sliding on things and fibbing. Your stress level goes way up when you have to hide the honest side of things. Life is too short. Tell the truth, and life will be so much more calm and people will think better of you. Your reputation goes along way.
