Yes it is sad but true women suffer a lot in all societies over the world, it is important for a women to be independant financially otherwise she has to go to a lot of suffering, a woman who is educated and working once she gets married and then later on children has to have a good support system otherwise she has to give up her job, career and depend on the mercy of the spouse and surely there is a lot of suffering if she does not have an understanding spouse, it is a tough world for a women nowadays

I have yet to live in a place that does respect women. In the States, we are treated like second-class citizens. Some men there see us more as property than as human beings. It is better in the UK but they still have a long way to go. I think respect went out with the 50's and 60's. In some societies men think they are superior to women. They are not, we are equal, each gendre should be treated with respect. It's sad to know that we are not. I was taught to respect our elders, respect each other. Sometimes the more a society advances, the more respect we lose. It's a sad time. I shouldn't feel like I have to cringe every time I leave the house but you never know who is lurking around the next bush.
