Do you think the stimulus package is helping people keep their homes?

The housing crisis grew worse in May, as more than 73,000 American families lost their homes to bank repossessions, up a staggering 158% from the 28,548 households that were dispossessed in May 2007.
Nevada, Florida and are the worst hit currently.

No I don't think so, I think that the stimulus package will allow extra money to buy a piece of furniture. We purchased a mattress with it. I don't think that that package is really going to make a big difference in the economy. I think most people are saving it for gas.

I think it is awful that people have lost their homes due to the high prices of everything these days. Gas is killing people financially. I cannot believe that my husband and I still making our payments also. He works close to home now but we have to work seven days per week to make sure all of the bills are paid and we have food on the table. It is awful. there is no time for family and barely enough time and money for enjoyments.

I don't think the stimulous payment will help with people whos homes are in foreclosure already. Most peole they stimulous payment is not even enough to cover one mortgage payment.

I should think it buys some people a month or two, but their problems are only pushed off a little, not solved. When more money goes out than comes it, math is very unforgiving.

No. Most of the people in trouble have missed more than one payment, and the stimulus checks, even for large families, probably aren't enough to fix the back bills and missed payments and keep up with upcoming bills. It might be a small delay in foreclosure, for some, but the people that are being really hit by the housing crisis are those that couldn't afford the situation when they were able to 'afford' it.

The stimulus is nothing, with my husband and I and our baby it wasn't even enough to pay one months mortgage. We put our towards our bills and we are still in debt so why they thought it would help the economy I don't know. Those people that are in debt and spending their check on misc stuff they don't need aren't helping themselves. And for those using it for bills, it only helps for one month, then what for the next.
