lately here on the lot, ive been starting discussions to appease my inquisitive curiosities into human nature. why we act the way we do.. react to certaint things.. etc. trying to gain a better understanding of my fellow humans. ive decided to kick up this scientific experimentations and took it off the lot and done something my husband and i have been considering doing for a very long time.
im sure youve seen those ads for eharmony.com.. mal and i beleive we are perfect for each other and have joked about signing up.. and seeing if their system actually worked and if wed possibly get matched up together.. so yesterday we did. we filled out their little survey questionaire about the type of people we are, which is incredibly lengthy btw, and asked some of the most assanine inane questions.. example "on a scale of 1-7, how important is it to you to eat?" im pretty sure every single person finds it rather important to stay ALIVE! ..;rolls eyes;.. we finished it up and hit the "get matches" button.. and were sent to another page with a list of possible "soul mates".. or in mals case.. he was told at this current time.. there isnt a single person at all that they feel he could be matched up with!! his reaction? "im a reject.. no one wants me!! /feign tears " i scanned over the results for myself.. and there is a page that is computer generated as to the type of person you are. it categorized me as "unquestioning and gullible" ..;bursts out laughing;.. anyone who knows me even slightly knows my favorite phrase is "why, where, for what purpose???" i question EVERYTHING!! thus far, the matches theyve made for me are people that are the complete opposite of what id be looking for! so i wonder.. and question yet again.. what exactly is the "compatabilty" concept here? is the reason people find their "perfect match" on these types of sites simply because both of the people in question are desperately seeking someone.. ANYONE to be with? have you ever used one of these computer dating sites? what were YOUR experiences with them? did you find yer "soul mate" or just someone to be with because there wasnt anyone else?

Hello tessah,Thanks for yourinteesting post. Compatability
concept!perfect match! lol, I havenever tried myself but many of my friends both girls and guys tried to find even
reached upto marriage but also broke upwith very short months.SoulMate,Perfect match through dating sites, according to me it is only possible if you meet the person and get to know the person face to face and very hard to find online.Well there are ofcourse exceptions everywhere, therefore some friends here can object tomy opinion, but
I think itsalways wise to choose your life partner after
knowing details aboutthat person if someone wants to spent
his/her entire life with that person rather than few nights. To conclude "PerfectMatch" are made in heaven, so it
is the blessing of God,but though online is not really a safe place now it is better to hunt inperson rather than in computers. Thanks

well i do have to disagree that meeting in person is better than online.. i met my husband on aol LOL and the only things we knew about each other via "details" were that we loved each other, and couldnt be without each other any longer. it took exactly 2 days from the moment we met to conclude to that.. and another 3 days for him to pack and move the 100 miles that were between us to be with me. i didnt even know what he looked like until he pulled into my driveway with his things.. he didnt have any pic online. that was a little over 9 years ago.. we have a beautiful little girl together, and we both firmly believe we were predestined. the difference is.. neither of us was "hunting" for a partner or a relationship.. which is usually when you cross paths with the one thats meant.

LOL - this is just too funny! And the guy on tv seems so sincere! ROFL
Now that I'm practically single, I'll go where I've never gone before and join eharmony - in the name of science of course! LOL I'll bet I get matched with either YOU or Mal!

well..... some people are desperate.... lol.. or like a few friends of mine they live in small towns that are great except for the fact that most of the single men are the kind of guys you wouldnt want to touch with a 10 foot pole..... lol...
