When you make your bed do you tuck your sheets in?

I don't tuck my sheets in. I have a habit of sticking my feet out the side or bottom of my sheets. They get hot so I just pull the sheets off them and let them hang out. Most people I know tuck them in, at least at the bottom. How picky are you about making the bed? Do you make it every morning? Do you tuck or not? Do you do it the same way your mother told you to when you were a kid?

I definitely stick my feet out the bottom too. I never "make" my bed. I just throw the blanket over top to keep all the dust and crap from getting all over my bed. I have rats and mice and they like to throw their bedding around so it gets everywhere. Hahaha.

My gliders and rat are the same way. Sometimes I feel like I have a vacuum for a right arm...lol.

I only put fitted sheets on my bed. I hate flat sheets and would not tuck them n if I had them on my bed. I feel like it confines my feet and I don't like it. If I am somewhere and the bed has a flat sheet tucked in I will pull it out before laying down.

That's how I am too. I tend to toss and turn and don't want to wake up wrapped like a mummy...lol

I've worked in a Hospital in the past and learned to use "Hospital Corners" when making up a bed with sheets,So if I was ever to make up a bed with flat sheets,I'd use that method..Now,at home,I have a fitted bottom sheet, and have a Duvet on top-no more folding!

How funny that you started this discussion! When my husband and I got married this was the biggest thing we fought about it. He loves to have the bottom of the sheets tucked and I hate it! Since I make the bed I leave it untucked and he would come in at night and check the sheets and tuck them in. I finally gave in and tuck them myself. Ah... marriage and the compromises we make! Ha!

I do tuck mine in. And I think it's the way my mom did them too..but I am old enough to remember a time when they didn't have fitted sheets so you had to make corners so I think that is where I got used to it.

Well that makes sense then.

We own fitted sheets. So no tucking for us. I do tend to kick off the blanket to cool off. And there are days I don't make the bed.

I only tuck the bottom of the sheet in, my feet get hot sometimes to and need to breathe. Yes I make my bed every morning, it makes it feel much fresher at night, than a messy bed. And it looks better, even if I'm the only one that sees it.

I don't usually tuck my sheet, but it depends on my bed sheet I am going to use.I am a bit shaky in sleeping, you know I can't find my way to sleep at night. I might waste an hour turning and tossing around my bed.

I know how to properly make a bed, but no i do not tuck the sheet in because i hate feeling tied down. If my feet can't move around effortlessly i feel like i can't breath, so i generally sleep with them out from under the covers.

I make my bed with hospital corner's and no wrinkles. I do it out of habit from years of practice making beds as a aid in a nursing home. It is hard to break old habits. I do make my bed every morning and the kids do to! My mother never made her bed she was sloppy. I guess that might be why most of the time I am a neat freak.

Probably, there are things that I notice I do exactly opposite my mom.

i have a fitted sheet on the bottom and then just throw the duvet over the top. I have to make 'tucked in' beds at work so I opt for the easiest at home.
