English problem Help me !

Hi everyone,
i am a English learner right now, when i got some English sentences from my books i feel some thing wrong with them, but i am not sure, so please help me, tell me the following sentences are right or not and how to perfect them.
1, Mary was staggered by the white figure from behind the tree.
2, We must take sure that our computer networks are secure.
3, I promise all you ask without reservation.
4, The pain I suffered was intense but it only served to spur me to greater efforts to overcome my antagonist.

Ok here we go..
1.. staggered mean shocked....mary was shocked...
2.. means we should make sure we have good virus protection and such I would think...
3..I promise all you ask with ouu a second thought...
4..the pain I suffered was terrible but because of it, it made me work harder to get over it...this one I had a little trouble with myself..

i do understand what the sentenses mean, i am just not sure whether they are right in grammar or not,

well since you're asking if they're right or wrong, i have to say all of them are (to some extent) wrong.
i know that it's difficult to translate something into english. this language has a lot of nuances, that's for sure. however, that goes for all languages too. goodluck, you can do it!
