My first PC was an Atari 800 computer which I bought in 1982. Back then, the IBM PC wasn't even born yet. We had the Apple II and Commodore. The Atari was more like a game machine than anything else and I paid a lot for it. I remember taking an office personal computer loan to buy that Atari. The attraction for me was the color screen (other computers then were using green screens) and the addictive arcade games available on the Atari. I played games like Pacman, Asteriods, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders and Centipede. I think for me, Pacman was the first game I played and I was quite good at it. Nowadays the games are so sophisticated and come with fantastic graphics and sound, unlike those ancient arcade games I used to play.

Miner 49er was the first we played on our Commodore 64.
Had to load it with a Cassette player. Took about 20 min.
