How did I miss this discussion. Seafood is my absolute favourite. In fact the other day I bought a lobster from Lidl, a load of prawns etc and made the most scrumptious risotto - though I say it myself. LOL. Fresh prawns are my favourite. In fact I shall be down in Devon at the end of next week and will be gorging myself with as much seafood as I can find. There is a superb fishmonger in Budleigh Salterton who just bristles with yummies. Oh Pat, you are making me so hungry. If you ever find yourself in West Bay (near Bridport) go toe the pub of the same name. They do lovely seafood much more cheaply than the better known (but good too) Riverside restaurant there. Or the Ship in Distress pub at Stanpit near Mudeford. Oh Yum Yum.

Terryz - a lot of people say picking crabs is a lot of work for a little bit of meat, but what you need to remember, eating crabs is a social thing :)

i love seafood! crabs and lobsters, prawns, fish, all sorts of shell fish, scallops, etc.
when my dad was in the air force and was assigned to a province in southern philippines, we had lobster almost everyday! the lobster variety that was readily available there was called rock lobster. it had a flat rounded head. the best thing i like about eating lobster is that when you break off the tail you can pull out the solid flesh in one action.
crab and lobster goes well with a dip of melted butter and garlic or a lemon butter sauce.
mussels are good baked in the oven with a topping of garlic, shredded cheese and a little melted butter. yum!
i like fish prepared in mnay different ways, too - grilled is good....or steamed with a stuffing of onion, tomato, and lemon juice. i like fried fish - salted and deep fried....so good!
i could go on and on about seafood and how i like to eat it! yum!

I would have liked sea food had it not put me on severe read patches all over my body. I get severe allergies when I eat crabs.

I love crab and lobster! especially Singapore's speciality of chili crab. you must come to Singaproe to try that one day. it 's almost like a national dish. it's not too spicy but comes with lovely gravy and it is cooked with huge sri lanka crabs.

After you eat the lobster, make a nice bisque from the remains. You can also make a great fish soup by adding lobster parts to the broth.
We catch lobster right at our doorstep... See www.paradisebayresort.net Unfortunately, the season is still closed until September.

I can't stand seafood. Fish, crab, lobster...anything. I don't know why...I guess just the thought of eating those things grosses me out? Other people in my family LOVE seafood. I just make a "blech" face and politely decline.

Hello, I am not one to make seafood but I love to eat it out. I love lobster tails and to dip them in butter , still have never tried a whole one , but hope to soon. I love anything dealing with huge gulf shrimp and cant get enough of crab cakes.
