Do you pay bills online and do you print the confirmations?

I find it very convenient to pay many of my monthly bills online but I didn't like the fact that I had to print out the confirmation page to keep for my records. Computers are supposed to reduce paperwork, not increase it, so I started filing the confirmations on my computer. I do alt/prt scr(print screen) and paste the copy of the confirmation page I just made into Word, which I save with the date in the filename. Does anyone else do this or are you more comfortable having a printed page to refer to if necessary?

Yeah, it is rather convenient to pay monthly bills online than to pay in the counters concerned. I don’t take any trouble to print out the confirmation page just to keep for my records anyway. I don’t like to have extra paper file anymore. I prefer to copy and paste the confirmation page in the Microsoft Word folder and disc as well to keep as my records for further reference.

Yes I do but I print them on the actual bill and keep those for filing. But I don't print the whole thing, just the receipt number, date and trace number if there is any. I think saving them on your computer is okay but what happens when your pc crashed or need to cleaned formatted? You will lose all your files with no back ups. Plus using print screen and pasting them on word makes the files bigger (their basically graphic files, pasted to word docs). This is just my opinion.

I guess you are computer-savvy. It does seem tedious to be keeping paper records of electronic transactions. You might also want to backup your confirmations for safekeeping purposes. Someone also mentions PDF which is also very convenient. Cheers!!

We do pay most of our bills online. My hubby saves the online confirmations. I do not think he has printed any out.

I save the receipt page as an .mht (web archive), and keep it in a special folder on my computer (which is backed up weekly). Just like printing it out, except without having to print it out. :P
