lost friend

my dd just found out that someone she was close 2 has passed on they had been in the hospital for a couple of days and she has been prayin but unfortunately we found out she did not make it,she was only 5 years old,she drowned in a pool my dd is 11 shes a kinder helper and this was her little friend they also sat on the bus next to each other and the day it happened,my dd said she was so excited,and she sees her happy face in her head all the time, my question is should i let her attend the services or not i dont know how she will handle it.also i would like everyone who reads this to please say a prayer for the mother.
