I know alot of people who are afraid when it thunders and lightnings, or who feel uncomfortable when it is thunderstorming.
When I was little, my dad would always call us kids out onto the front porch and snuggle up with us on the swing and we would watch it rain and lightning as if it was a special event.
I was therefore never afraid when it thundered or lightninged, in fact I looked forward to it.
It was just raining and thunderstorming here a little while ago and I went out on the front porch to watch.
How you feel at such times? Does it scare you and make you feel uncomfortable? Or do you like it?

ive always loved thunder storms.. even when i was small. theyve got a power to them that reminds you just how strong Nature really is. i got struck by the ionic blast of a lightning bolt last year a day before my birthday. and while it scared the bejeebus out of me at the time LOL it was prolly one of the most exhilerating moments of my entire life!! when i finally stopped shaking, and my ears stopped gushing fluids out of my skull.. id never felt better.

I don't like it but I am not scared also..I remember my sister when we were still young, she will find a place to hide and will cry a lot!LOL! I didn't develop the same attitude like my sister but I also don't like to stare on it!

I've always liked seeing lighting and hearing thunder, even when I was a kid. I found it kind of thrilling, and a little scary but in a good way. Thankfully, I've never been near where lighting strikes or comes near the ground.

The thunder and lightening don't bother me but when the wind comes up I get really scared. I am really afraid of tornados and they seem to be hitting alot anymore! My heart goes out to the families of the boy scouts affected by the recent tornado.

My kids use to get scared but they know its just rain. We would count the lightning strikes to see how close they were, it became a game, anything under two seconds and we got a little worried.

Thats very good of ur father to bring you up in that way, that surely removes fear. Nope, im not afraid either, but i have seen ppl who r afraid and worse. Even i tell my son, its just nature and raining...no strings attached.

Since I was a kid, I always get scared of the sound of thunder although I do get excited when I see lightning in the sky. But most of the time I get intimidated when there are thunderstorms since it is not really common here in our area.

I get nervious as ever for I don't like the lighning or the big BOOM at the end of it.
When a lightning storm comes I will useally sit in the hallway of my apartment and put headphones on just so I can't see or hear much of it but I know that it's there. I have been this way all my life and just never over came my fear of them.

I like it. I like it a lot. My father was doing the same thing. I think that lightnings are very dangerous but beautiful. I hope someday humans will know how to use their energy in good purposes. Cheers and happy myloting.

I live in Tucson Arizona where the summer monsoon officially begins this weekend. Since I've moved to the desert I have a deep appreciation for thunderstorms and rain. After months with little or no rain the anticipation for the seasonal storms begins to build. Not just with me but pretty much everyone I know. The clouds usually began to form in mid-afternoon and by late afternoon the heavens have unleashed their fury, quenching the parched ground, and parched people for that matter.
It's very exciting when the first storm of the season hits and the more violent it is the better. I know it can be dangerous but here in the Sonoran Desert, any break in the 110 degree heat is welcome.

I personally love the Thunder and lighting! Its amazing.
Has a kid I was always afraid of it because my father would chase me up the halls like he was a monster while it was thunder and lightening out, but he never ment any harm by it. Now, in recent years, I look forward to it, actually, I was hoping for once last night but we never got it. I really do love the thunder and, and the way it shakes my house, and I know everyone else can hear it, or the lightening, and the way it lights up the sky so nice.

When there is thunder or lightning, I feel scared and uncomfortable but at the same time fascinated by the work of nature. It's quite ironic if you may ask me because feeling scared and fascinated at the same time is quite rare. So, there is my response!

I get really scared when I was a kid. I used to think that something bad is going to happen. Over the years, I have outgrown it. My kids are really scared of thunder and lightning. I guess its just normal for kids.

When i was smaller the house would be really quiet cause the Lord was doing is work. Tv off lights off and find somewhere quiet to sit and wait for the storm to pass. I was a little scare but now that I have gotten older it doesn't bother me that much any more. I know that if your outside and you hear it; it lets you know how far the storm is from you. I can't remember if its the lighting strikes or the thunder sound that you count to know how far off it is. I have to ask someone I don't really remember. Have a nice one.

I feel so at home. I mean I love rain and it make me feel comfortable. Although sometimes, it gives me a jerk when I ain't expecting it. I love nature and all its agents. So thunder and lightning are some of the things I love. I hit the roof and watch the lightning pattens and try to capture some of them If I can with a camera.

I remember when I was younger and whenever there was a storm my cousin and I would get out our LEGOs and play right on the window sill while it was raining, thundering and lightening so it looked like there was a storm outside in "LEGO world". We would also do scenes from the movie Twister as well lol.
Now that I'm older I don't mind storms all that much. I just get scared when I hear that there could be a chance for a tornado.:/ If there is no chance of a tornado, then I find them quite relaxing especially along with the rain when I'm trying to go to sleep.

I find it very relaxing actually. My mom was like that too and sometimes we would stand by our open doorway and watch the rain. I remember a few times when it was raining really hard and we danced in the rain. That was so refreshing and I loved it. However, if it rains none stop, day after day, I think it can get depressing and I start to hate it but for the most part I find it relaxing. I especially like to cuddle up under a blanket and watch movies when it thunders and lightning or play bpard games, we used to play a lot games on these days when I was growing up as well. That was always a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it...
