I think I would freeze in fear, and then try to run away.

Depends. If I know who the ghost was I would be a little freaked out, but not scared. If it was a stranger I would be frightened. Or if it was a child I wold try and help. At least this is how I would like to act, If it ever really happened, I might be scared out of my gore and run like crazy!
