Something brilliant happened yesterday. I rec'd an email from a survey site I don't regularly visit. I've been deleting them recently because they don't pay and are a bit of a time waste. For some reason I decided to read this one. It said I was one of their monthly winners in the members prize draw and had won 50 pts. I thought "Oh wow, 50 pts, that's like 50 cents". I had to sign in and verify to go shopping. I couldn't even remember visiting this site before but lo and behold...I have 150 points. Thinking "oh, goody, $1.50 to spend. Can I buy anything for $1.50?"
My mistake...it's not $1.50 but $150 !!!!!. Doin' the happy dance. How excited I am to be a winner! I ordered a Jamie Oliver frypan, a radio and a luggage lock and name tag ....that's for when I go on my travels.
How do you think of yourself...are you a winner or are you a loser? I've been tryng to attract positive things into my life recently and it seems to really work. Do you do this?

Hi MsTickle,
That's certainly a nice way to start the weekend.
And I can totally relate to your thinking it was only $1.50 when they were really waving $150 at you.
It used to be even better if the $150 was in $US, but it won't be long now before the $US is worth less than the $AU.
It's interesting that you've adopted the mindset of "attracting" positive things to yourself. I see more people taking that world view as time goes one - that is, that one's mental and emotional dispositions eventually manifest in our surroundings. A reversal of the "cause-and-effect" paradigm.
Some people seem to wallow endlessly in bad fortune and never ever get a break - but if you hear the way they view and talk about things, it's quite obvious that if thoughts are things, then they've been building a disaster on a daily basis.
So good luck to you - even though there's no such thing as "Luck" IMO. Nothing is random, and everything happens for a reason. So I hope you spent your $150 wisely, young Cheshire. Were I in your shoes, it would have been 150 bags of jelly babies for me!

I spent it wisely for me indeed. My choices were not so exotic to run to jelly babies however. I had a lovely time "shopping". I would have bought raspberries or jersey caramels myself. Perhaps not however as theey turn ti glue once they hit my intestines....thought I'd share that with you

That's great work! lol. I don't think I am a particularly lucky person when it comes to winning things, but my luck is in other areas like having my family and having a decent roof over my head.

I used to think like you but somehow it seems my mindset has changed...never say never my friend. Think positive about abundance as well as the love of family. You can have everything and you're halfway there. Focus on what you want....keep it in your mind...watch what happens...it can come out of nowhere when you least expect it.

The news is full of info about the price of homes dropping dramatically. They are only talking 30,000 - 40,000...not a lot when the homes are costing up to half a million. They are saying this hasn't happened in 100 years. My point is...get a move on with your plans and watch the market and learn. I used to check the real estate pages in our local free paper each week and it was surprising how much I was learning about the housing market. Focus on the sort of home you want...visualise it , think about it all the time and it will be yours.

I'm sure once I manage to complete my studies and get a job from it, I'll be sitting pretty as far as an income goes. Then I'll be able to put that luck to good use and finally buy a house! lol.

Wow that's great! Is it easy to earn points for that site? What exactly do you have to do?
I don't think I'm a big winner or a loser...lol. I think I do good in life, and I'm a member of a few sites that pay. And they don't pay a TON of money, but every little bit helps! :) And it's always nice to have a little extra spending money, you know! lol.

That's the thing Lily...the $50 I won was a monthly member draw and the other $100 I have no idea how I got it. I always delete those emails now so it's possible over the last couple of years I've won it but I certainly have never done a survey for them. I was signed up with about 40 survey sites, most of whom I didn't ever hear from. I didn't receive money, only points except from one site. I've only ever been able to redeem points for vouchers from one site. The best sites I've mentioned here are Australian. I noticed someone mentioned being paid by Lightspeed here a day or so ago - I did lots of surveys fror Lightspeed and got nothing, I deleted them.
If you are a member of a few sites that pay that's good! Mylot is the BEST for me, I get about $10 a month if I'm lucky. There's a site on the bottom of my profile page that seems easy to work with, try it. It's American. I tried to put some other banners on my profile but it didn't work.

It's really not so simple because you have to train yourself to do it. You have to imagine you are wealthy if you want to be wealthy. You must thank the powers that be daily for yopur good fortune. Feel happy and successful, dress the part, hang out with successful people. Be happy and spend time with happy people. If you think ..."I am never lucky at games and raffles" then that is what you will get.

actually I usually see myself as a loser....but I'm not really...I win in the online party rooms....
I've never won any big prize...and $150 would be big for me!
Congrats...now maybe you better pay more attention to those surveys :)

On the 8th of August i went to a magical manifesting workshop. It was the the best day to try to manifest something you want because of the cycle of the moon. Although you can try any day of the month, certain cycles of the moon are best. And because it was the 8/8/08, it was super lucky!!
There is a great book by Louise Hay called "You can heal your life" and it's not only for sick people. It tells you how to bring about positive changes in your life. If you want to be a luckier person and have money or good things coming into your life, it's all about thinking positively. I have started doing it the last month and every day i get some money or get presents unexpectedly or win prizes. It's so great! It's the same as The Secret. Whatever thoughts you put out into the universe, you will get back. The universe is like a big mirror, it reflects your thoughts back to you! If you think negatively, you will only have negative experiences. If you think positively, if you think you are wealthy, or lucky, or healthy, then you will be so!!
I'm so happy for you, that is wonderful! :)

When I was young, I always, always believed that I would be rich and famous. I didn't know how, I just knew it would come about. I knew nothing about positive thinking. I'm still waiting for it to happen....lol I used to buy tickets in those show homes. I would spend hours pouring over the photos, imagining it was my home. I saw myself driving the car up the driveway, going swimming , entertaining friends at pool parties and dinners and having my family to stay for weeks on end. Still waiting for that to happen as well.

Congrats Mstickle. Last month I won a drawing from globaltest marketing. I was tickled pink. No pun intended with your name. LMAO What Survey site are you talking about I might be a member and need to check it out. There are a couple of sites I belong to, like you I just delete the surveys as they are only sweepstakes entries or some other nonsense. I have several that pay me real money and those are the ones I concentrate on.

Congratulations on your nice win - especially when you thought it was $1.50 and turned out to be $150! Good one MsTickle!
I am in a lot of survey sites, and agree with you that they can sometimes be very time consuming for the few pennies we earn, and I often delete their emails, just like you. Bet you're glad you read that one! Which site was it? I may also be in it, then I will be more ready to read their emails, lol!
Enjoy your prizes, and good onya!

Woo Hoo! I'm so happy for you! Way to go! That is great! I wish I could be so lucky. Sometimes it is like that though on those sites. I know what you are talking about. Sometimes you start a survey and invest 10 or more minutes and then you screen out. Or they say it is just a prize entry. Way to go!

Oh yes schulzie...how often have I done that...got screened out I mean. For some, even if you don't get screened out, you win a few measley points or entry into a draw. It can be such a time waste. I spend more time concentrating on myLot now. It's far superior to other sites.
