I would like to thank all the people that responded to the potty training i had discussed last week. My daughter is finally starting to take interest in using the potty chair. So far she has used it alot and tells me when she needs to go pee but pooping is another story, I just give her so much praise when she goes and give her a sucker to tell her how proud i am of her. I am hoping to have her fully potty trained by the end of august since she starts preschool then.

Can you share the advice? I bought my two year old girl kitty underpants that she had to have and she just doesnt care if she goes in them. I would like some help to. congrats on the potty training.

I did like you i bought a few pairs of underwear for her but she would just wet herself. We decided to buy pull up and so far she is doing ok but it is taking a while but i have learned not to push to hard just keep asking if she has to go potty and she says no but i coax her into sitting a few min and she happens to go. Just have alittle patience my dear and everything will work out good luck.

Yeah it can take a little bit but eventually they'll let you know when they're ready to start using the potty's & everything will work out as long as you let them do it in their own time without pushing it. My daughter has just gone 2 & although she likes her potty - she doesn't seem interested in using it to go to the toilet but she can 'say' toilet & will happily sit on our normal toilet :) There will always be little accidents along the way but you'll get through them but don't be TOO set on having her fully trained in a month or 2. I have nieces that have been learning since the age of 2 & even though 1 of them is all set, the other (they're twins) still wets her pants & her bed on a regular basis - they'll be 3 in a couple of weeks. Some kids also take a little longer to get tha hang of it but good luck to you! I'm glad things are going so well for you though & fingers crossed she's potty trained 100% by the end of the year - that's a good/realistic time frame i think!

Good for her, and I can totally understand why you are so proud of her. I think it's absolutely wonderful that she took one more step in her journey into eventual adulthood.

Awww congrats on getting her potty trained. I'm working on my youngest as well she's doing good as well. She will be starting preschool in August as well and it seems for most children pooping is the hardest part of it all. Hope everything goes well.
