My sister in-law made the comment that she had her kids for a tax right off. I was offend she would say such a thing! Do people really do this? Now that I look at her I can see it. She does spend very little time with her kids. Do you also find this offensive? I think this is sad.

Yes, this is true about some women and men.. Yes this is very sad.. That is why some women have many kids and they get all this money off of them. And they will spend the money on themselves.. Instead of their own children..This is pitiful I must say, I know of a couple, where the guy told his wife that he wants 10 children so that when tax time comes, they can get more money back in ten years.. That is sad too. Shame on anyone who does this!

perhaps your sister-in-law was only joking, I sure hope so
as otherwise she would make a poor mom.this is offensive to
me also but rather think this was a poor taste joke, or again
maybe not. I guess some women might look at it that way but I dont many do. how could you not love a child you have carried for nine months, taxes be damned?

unfortunately she is a poor mom and only thinks of herself first. Her kids come last.

I could not understand the real logic of having kids,.. getting married..and what life is after reading this topic..
How on earth could she say that she has kids for saving tax..
Here in India also, the government allows, the spending for the kids.. pertaining to the educational purposes as an expense.. and the parents can claim the income tax rebate on the amount spent.. but there is limit for the amount spent.
Whatever be the limit of spending... having kids.. just to write off the tax is hard to digest...Really this sounds offensive for me.

There are people who go as far as adoption for those purposes. The children are the ones that suffer in the end. Who can put a price tag on a child, it's offensive immoral and selfish.
People who love thier children have to bust thier hump while those people , who are for the most part doing alright for themselves, using children for profit.
