I don't know. I think some people, not just Christians, are becoming overly paranoied. There have been a lot o end-of-the-world predictions, and nothing has come o them.

I think that you are right! There is so much worry about the end of the world.
I have lost many young family members in the last 4 years, and just hope that they have been taken because the rapture is near.
Makes me wonder though...about the rest of us!
Especially the children.

This is not something new. Jesus said this would happenm the appearance of many false messiahs.

I have pondered this question in my mind also, but am not sure what I think about it. I have lost a lot of family and friends in the past 3 years also. I lost my mother, an uncle and 2 aunts. My next door neighbor, another next door neighbors father,2 of my sister-in-laws sisters and I'm sure I am forgetting someone, but it seems to be non-stop. I do feel as though the end times are here, and we will be seeing many more disasters and economic problems happening.

I highly doubt it. Although I believe that God does everything for a purpose, I don't think He's sparing a select few from the Rapture. That would go against the fact that nobody knows when the Rapture will happen, and if people start dropping off, that would clue people in that it may happen soon. Plus, that wouldn't be fair, and God is just and fair, always.
