I read this via the net. This poem is for those children who died in Sichuan earthquake and I translated it into English here.
Child, take mother's hand.
The way to the heaven is too dark.
Mother is afraid you will be hurt.
Hold mother's hands tight.
Let mother go with you.
Mother, I am afraid.
The way to the heaven is too dark.
I can't see your hands.
Since the wall collapsed and took away the sunlight,
I could never see your tender eyes.
Child, just go.
The road will never have the grief.
You have to remember the faces of your parents.
We will go together next life.
Mother, don't feel worried.
The road to the heaven is a bit crowded.
There are lots of friends.
We say:
Don't cry.
Any mother is our mother.
Any child is mother's child.
When the days without me,
give your love to the alive children.
Mother,
don't cry.
The tears can't light up our road.
Let's go slowly by ourselves.
Mother,
I will remember the faces of you and father.
Remember our promise,
and let's go together next life.

This was a poem that was read out by Xiangyun and an unknown child during the fund raising variety show on Mediacorp in Singapore.
Lots of people cried upon hearing this, and I must say it's a very beautiful poem. Thanks for the translation.

Thank you for this lovely translation. I know this is a hard time in your country. It is also very obvious that you have a tender and caring heart for those nearby who are hurting.

this is indeed a very touching poem...
i know that it is very, very difficult to lose a child... and i cant imagine how sad and difficult it is for a young child to lose their parents...
i just hope the parents who did lose their child in that earthquake can find solace knowing that their child is actually in a 'better place'... and learn from that poem.. find strength and.. "give their love to the alive children.."
i also hope that the children who have become orphans after the earthquake will not be abandoned, or mistreated and will be well taken care of.

Good morning, my dear youless.
Once again I am weeping while reading this poem, so touching and moving. Tears cannot be kept from rolling down when thinking of those kids and parents and grandparents leaving their homeland for another world without their being willing to, especially under such circumstances. I wish all of them smooth on the way to Heaven with no more pains and sufferings and horrors given to them by the devastating earthquake. May they be happy there in their new world and bless them!
By the way, you have done a great job in the translation of the poem from one language to another. I appreciate it very much. Take care, dear youless.
