Are all Mosquitoes Blood-Sucker? Why they suck blood?

nope..I read somewhere that only the femal mosquitoes suck blood. The male mosquites dont suck blood..they eat something else. I forgot how to differentiate them though. lols

Only the female mosquitoes suck blood. It is to feed their babies (eggs). The males only drink nectar. Females drink nectar as well, but drink blood for egg production. There is one species of mosquito in which neither male nor female suck blood. These mosquitoes feed off of other mosquitoes. Some people call them "Skeeter Eaters".

I have no idea really. I think alot of them just like to bite us for some reason or another. I know that ticks are the ones who are blood suckers. they like to burrow their heads underneath our skin and sick our blood and swell up. I have never really heard of a mosquito sucking blood though. I think they just like to bite.

I might be wrong, but I think only female ones that sucked blood. But I don’t know the reason why they suck blood and the males don’t suck blood. However, not only humans are becoming their target. I think animals are sucked by mosquitoes too. But probably humans would be their preference because our skins are not covered like animals. However, I often found that after they were full with ‘their meals’ (blood), they would become fainted and we would easily finish them off when they were full.
