Which do you think is better: Forum-discussion or Social Networking site?

I guess on both sites you have been actively participating, but which do you think is much better to spend more of your time? Would you care to give your opinion and depend your side?

I used to be very active in several forums but I have never joined a social network site. I think myLot is the nearest to a social networking site which I personally am involved in.
Since joining myLot I no longer post much in other forums, I enjoy taking part in the discussions here far better than in the forums I used to post in.
I would rather spend my time at myLot than at any other forum or social site.

did you ever had any bad experience in other forums that made you concentrate on Mylot now? How about social networking site, wouldn't you give it a chance to join in one of them. There are a lot of them that is paying the users now and each individual Alexa ranking are becoming higher nowadays.

Most of the paying forums stopped paying so I would rather post in myLot discussions and earn little than keep posting in non-paying forums, and if I joined a social network I would have less time for myLot.

Have you try the newest BuzzBot technology by the newest Social Networking site that launch officially last July 1st 2008? If not please get it from my profile, if it would not be too much a burden for you.

I personally think there is more benefit in Db's. networking sites are ok, but they are not centered around discussions or topics.
It appears to me that mylot does both.
