What is the right time for the first kid after marriage ?

I think it depends on how stable you are financially and emotionally. I mean if you were together all throughout college and then you all got married, then you are probably about ready. I think it has to do with stability.
But I see your point, a year is probably a good time because you are still on your honeymoon for that first year. Kind of ruins the special moments when a baby cries, ha!

I'm not married yet, but I think I'll wait about a year to have any kids once I am. I'd like to have a little bit of time with my husband before bringing in the added stress of children. If I get pregnant right away, I'll still be happy... but if I have a choice in the matter, the kids will wait!

The short answer is no.
Now for the long answer …
To me, there is no perfect age to become a mom. It’s really not a matter of age. When planning your family (and I realize things don’t always go according to plan), deciding when the time is right for kids is a matter of maturity, responsibility, financial and emotional stability — and simply being ready for your life to completely change…
