Will you die for your spouse

If you are confronted with a situation where you have to loose your life so your partner can gain it. will you give it up knowing that probably after you die they will get married to someone else.

I would die for my spouse and my children to be able to live without a second thought. I would rather know that they will be able to move on with their life and actually live, than have to live without them.
