Generally when my friend lies with me I get angry and I try to change the topic then and there. But sometimes I stress him on speaking truth with me. But now I fear that this anger should not go longer which affects our friendship.
How do u respond when a friend lies with you?

After finding out that the person is a compulsive liar I will leave him. You see when someone keep on telling you lies and you know about it. It makes you anger. My ex boyfriend is a compulsive liar, whenever he tells me a lie, I let him know instantly that he is a liar. We always quarell and disrespectiveness comes in. So I make up my mind to part which I did. There is two things I dislike in life 1. a thief and 2 a liar. Ask me for what you want and tell me the truth. Sometimes the truth will hurt but at least you were told about it first.

I do not like it when I realize that someone is lying to me! I try to take it with a grain of salt when I hear something, as often things are not the complete truth and not a total lie either! It is lie children thinking that something is a lie, when it is really an untruth! That is like something that is partially true, but the meaning is misunderstood! I also tend to understand one lie or two, but when the other person gets totally mad because they think that I lied about something trivial, but I have already caught them in lie after lie, yet they get hella mad at me and start spreading around that I am a liar, then I will have to forget the person and move on with my life! Say a person forgets what time their doctor's appointment was, and a friend asks them what time was their appointment, the person says one time but the friend remembers another time, so the friend says the person lied to them! I think this is more of a misunderstanding, and we cannot expect our friends to be perfect!

When my friends lie, I'll humor him/her and try to evaulate how good of a liar he/she is. And after I get bored of humoring, i'm usually just point out all the things wrong with their story and tell them they didn't need to lie.But then my real friends need to be good liars, or at least know how to stay silent.
