I usually do it once a month and I clean it with dish soap and water. I remove the shelves that can be removed and put them in the sink to wash. Then I clean inside with the soap and water on paper towels. I dry everything with paper towels, put the food back in and then I put in a new box of baking soda to keep things smelling fresh.

I try to keep up with it daily with the kitchen wash cloth and a little dish detergent. Then about once a week, before I go grocery shopping, it gets taken apart and emptied. All the leftovers, all the bottles and containers with 2 sips left in them get pitched into the trash. Then I get the dish detergent again and wipe it down to get the caked on jam, butter, and only God knows what off the racks and sides of the doors. Finally I get the bleach and wipe it down with that and one more wipe down to make sure I got the bleach off.
So the short answer is: Once a week with dish detergent and bleach. LOL

I wipe it down daily. Then once a week I give it a good cleaning. But it is only my husband and myself at home now so it doesn't get to awful dirty anyway.

Oh, and I use just regular dish soap and water. As I say our refrigerator doesn't get very dirty.
