Is the tragic death of newsman Tim Russert being over-hyped? Maybe it is rude to pose such a question, but do that many people really even know who he was? The news makes him out to have been some great hero to us all. Really aren't people just paying attention to the news that Pamela Anderson has moved back in with rocker Tommy Lee?
here's an article that asks and explores this notion:

I think that's a pretty tacky article. The two topics have nothing to do with one another.
MANY people know who Tim Russert is. In fact, he was one of the most respected and loved people in the news industry. Hello, election night 2000? The dry-erase board? FLORIDA FLORIDA FLORIDA?
Meet the Press?
In addition, he was an always amusing guest on Leno and Conan and such.
So yeah, tacky article. Tacky tacky tacky.

Thanks for the response. Personally I would say I know who he was by him being recognizable, didn't know his name and never watched him though.

Too soon maybe if one were to take into consideration other people's feelings; true. However, timing in regards to search query and traffic driving...could have been done sooner.

I didn't know Tim Russert was to any great extent. His face was familiar and I might have watched him for two seconds on tv. But, I am sad to see him go, and at such a young age. I would be sad for anyone - famous or not. And, I really couldn't care less about Pamela Anderson and her personal life.
