Want to Buy a Pub in Canada?

I've been a bit worried about Sparky recently. She flits in and out of here fires off a few words of wisdom or a story or two and clears off out of our lives again. During my journeys around the internet I came across a real estate advert for the pub in Sparky's village. It crossed my mind that what she needs is a few of us to move in alongside of her and give here mayoral incumbency a bit of a gee up! The pub's quite cheap and has 64 rooms. Sparky will be delighted to see us - maybe. Mad Meg will for sure. A Sheriff (Mayor) needs a posse and all she needs do is swear us in! Coming?

P1ke put me down for a room..I'm sure i could afford it since we have 64 to choose from right? I've already put in to meet mad Meg and want to hear about her Witchy past, so i'm sure we will be welcomed with open arms!
What are you planning on the New name?

P1key.....I have nearly $ 18.00 in posts here in Mylot.....I love giving to Charity....is there a way I can donate my Funds to Sparky's Cause ?
Sparks and I sound a Lot a like in Many ways........That's Odd.
No that's not true either......I don't run in and off like that I'm just Scatter-Brained.
I'm Sure she would Swear every one in....probably except for me......
I'd probably Mix-up the Swearing in Date. ( I do that a Lot )
As for her words of Wisdom.....Damn.......She's Brilliant!
By the way.....why is Meg , MAd?

Oh Crap...........you meant in an Official sort of way Didn't you ? My Bad.
My Mind is always just a little bit Slower than Most's.

It'll all be there Ruby. This is a purchase so you'll have a stake in the whole concern. So far we have more than enough rooms so you'll be alright on that score. I don't know when you will have time to watch the telly though. As Officer in Charge of biscuits, and the notorious biscuit rustling that goes on round there, I think that you are going to be very busy! "Baby Faced Bourbon" is out of prison again and just itching to relieve us of our crunchy, crumbly comestibles!

You'll be in there don't you worry Ruby. You're in charge of biscuits and it would be simply unthinkable to have anyone else doing that job. I don't read the daily Mail (does anyone? LOL) so missed the article. I have to say that if you only shop at Waitrose then you clearly have great taste, and lots of money!!

But I have no money to be in on this venture!!...maybe you could spare a little from your overflowing wallet to help out a damsel in distress....and while your at it pop to Waitrose and get some really good biccies..those vienesse ones with the chocolate on...yummy...By the way I dont know if you get the Daily mail but there was a darn good article in there about being a Waitrose shopper...it made my blood boil!!!...wonder if you read it????

You know fishface, that would be an absolutely perfect experience for me! Of all the places in the world I've wanted to visit, Canada is a najor one of them and I've always wanted to run my own pub! So doing all that and helping out a friend all at the same time (I just read a post by Sparky and she deserves all the help she can get with her "soon to be ex" I think!).
Count me in, Sir!

Thank you Pumpkin. We need someone with a head for figures and a sensible approach to life. Plus if you brought the boys we'd have a new young population to help get the town rejuvenated - not that it won't be with us all there! The average age is 70! or somethig like that.

Well that explains why the pub is for sale, then, doesn't it. Average age is 70. Right, sparks said she was the youngest in the town.
Won't it be funny so see all the older folks trudging in with their walkers. How rowdy could they get? lol

Yep, for every Mule I bring to load up with people's stuff, they will have to pay in carrots. A bag of carrots for every Mule. Mule's work cheap.

I'd love to...except I live WAAAYYY over hear in NJ and I don't think I can tote my man out this way...and he's not easily forgettable! Think a YOUNG Jack Nicholson (circa One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and then you'll understand (maybe) why! Can I come to visit with him?

Well, JN's got money, but this guy is the one for me (pictured below) ...without glasses, he could pass for a middle-aged JN (without the craziness!). And he could even bring his band to provide us with some tunes!

Definitely count me in p1ke! i am a great barmaid and I love being able to control a pub full of men and control them with just the look in my eye! No trouble in the pub when I am on duty and I have known a grown man to shake in fear when he realises he has said something mean or really stupid to me so I can act as a deputy too! Woo hoo - all of us together sounds like mad meg will lose her unique position with the madness we bring! lol When do we move? xxx

Get rolling Sparky. Now you know where the blog story came from! There will, I hope, be another installment today. As for beds. From what I have seen I shall be permanently in the pub's dungeon room! I haven't done anything bad yet! Still, the tassel twirling that Rosekitty wants me to do (another discussion) will be highly criminal I'm sure. LOL.

Course you can. Perhaps you could be in charge of the seafood restaurant we'll open too. Although the sea is over 3,000 miles away! We may have to share. But I see this as more of a rotational thing. We will all go out there fore few weeks. Whoop up the town and then come home for a while to recover. LOL. Of course, if people want to stay - why not? Horse riding isn't compulsory, but when in Rome (or Canada).......... Annie will teach us if we ask nicely I'm sure.

It's not a city yet CG. But by the time we have finished with it it may well be mayhem. LOL. We have to deal with the biscuit rustlers first though. Baby Face Bourbon has held up the truck carrying this weeks' supplies. (I am mad. I know that I am. LOL.)

Of course I would teach anyone there visiting how to ride, if they like.
Did you know that herds of wild horses run free 'out west' so I would round up enough to fill the 'livery' behind the pub and supply rentals of transportation and also have a carriage for those more 'sophisticated' clientelle.
Maybe I could even get a rodeo going, for entertainment. That would surely boost sales at the pub, to recoup our investment.

I think I could windle some pennies to contribute!!! I think Sparky would love to see us all and what a welcome it would be when you walk in the local 'Our Lot' pub!!!
No one would dare complain about the pub especiallly with Sparky as Sheriff!! lol
