It nearly seven p.m. and I was gone all day and spent the best part of it outside in the elements! I would love to take a shower and put on my pj's and just relax. I will wait a little however in case some unexpected company stops by but boy would I just love to be all comfy in my pjs. Do you ever put on your pj's early in the evening and just relax in something comfortable or do you wait until closer to bed time before you change?

There is no set time on when you have to put on your PJ's I will lounge around in PJ's all day. I even go into town with them on. I honestly couldn't care what others think of it at all. There are even somedays from the time I wake up I will stay in them all day as well. If there is really nothing to be done or we are going to a function then I say jammie day is everyday.

I say put them on as well. If companty drops by I'm
sure they'll understand a short wait as you change.

I say go for it. Be comfortable and relax. If company comes over it's all good. In the country (one of my homes) they don't mind me wearing jammies either. They come over in jammies as well.

I've stay in my pj's if I could to be truthful. I don't think you should sacrifice comfort for company personally. If my friends and family were embarrassed about how I looked they should be used to it by now lol. Don't see what it matters.

Hi JillHill, if I know I'm not going anywhere then I'll get ready for bed when I fell like it. If someone comes ove unexpected, I can always throw on a robe. There's no reason I cant get comfortable in my own house when I feel like it. I hope you did the same!
Cheers, Tianna

There are adays I never get out of my PJ's until I have to picj my wife up from work actually. My pj's are the drawstring type and seems a lot of people of many ages wear them as regualr pants so no biggie if compant comes over I feel. I have gone to the store wearing them. I do yard and graden work in them as well as sleippers. HAHAHA!

hi jill!
i usually change clothes at least thirty minutes before bed time. the thirty minutes are for the evening routine (beauty regimen ) and a little time for more tv watching or reading or playing games in the cellphone, which all can get me to sleep. that's during weekdays after work. during weekends though, the house dress that i wear inside the house is also what i wear when sleeping so there's really no need to change into pjs. if i go out during the weekends, when i come home, i immediately change into my house dress and i don't wait until its close to bed time. even if there are visitors that would come, its okay because my house dress are decent enough.

Nope! Hop in the shower and throw on some PJ's. I would not worry about being in my PJ's and company stopping by unexpectedly. If someone stops by I would let them in and excuse myself to change clothes or depending on who it is keep my PJ's on.

I wouldn't say it is too early. It is unlikely someone is going to randomly appear at your door at this time as door to door people tend to come during the morning and I am assuming that your friends and family are like mine and ring first, so you can always say "I am ready for bed" or quickly get dressed before they arrive. I put my PJs on if I am just going to be sitting in my room for the rest of the night as they are more comfortable than normal clothes.

I actually have several friends and a neighbor that just drop by without calling! If they are in the neighborhood they know they are welcome but wouldn't they be surprised if they found me in jammies about seven in the evening? But I did end up putting them on so I could relax and enjoy myself.

I don't think that they would be that surprised as they probably do it themselves sometimes, get ready for bed early and having a relaxing night or even go to bed around that time if they are really tired. I have been in my PJs at about 5 before and my boyfriend came round and he didn't seem bothered that I was in my PJs and understands that they are lot comfier for me to sit in than my clothes.

Sometimes, like last night, I put on my pajamas way before bedtime. I knew I wouldn't be going anywhere else, and I just wanted to be comfortable. I guess it had an effect on me because at 8:30pm I turned in to go to bed. Which never happens! I'm always up until after midnight. Of course luck was not with me. I went to bed at 8:30pm, but then I woke up at 10:15pm, so I had to get up. But then I fell back asleep a little after midnight.

I don't wear p.j.s. But as soon as I get in I take off my outdoor clothes and put on a t-shirt and shorts in the summer and jeans in the winter.I think you are home and you should wear whatever is comfortable.

Hi jillhill.
I have actually dressed in what I call "lounging pjs" quite early in the evening. If I had a particularly long, rough, or tiring day, I come inside, take my bath and put on my favorite lounging pjs.
I have 2 pairs I like, both purchased at Target. One has cropped bottoms with a turquoise ribbon tie at the waist. I wear a soft turquoise v-neck t with those. And, I can actually wear that outfit if people come over.
The other pair of pjs is a "set" of light blue, soft knit shorts with a ribbon tie waist and a spaghetti strap top, also in the soft knit. They are so comfy!!
So, jillhill, I say, "Go for it" and get comfortable. If someone pulls up, run in the bedroom really fast and throw something on, if you need to. That's what I do.

I get into my pjs right after my evening shower. Unless I'm going out to dinner or to party, I want to wear pjs at home instead of house clothes. When I was younger, I didn't go out much, so I would shower around 5pm when the sun is just about to go down. When the moon comes out, it's always a signal for me to change into my pajamas. I guess the habit's continued until now as I've been known to wear pajamas at home even as early as 5pm!
